Secondary Prof.
I chose Ranger as my Assassin's secondary Prof. but I am starting to regret it. I thought it would be good to be able to attack from distance, but of course it didn't really turn out like that.
I am probably going too create another assassin, but this time, what should it's secondary be?
Thanks for the help.

you don't have to remake your assassin, after you've completed the nahpui quarter mission, you can change your 2nd job in senji's corner.

And to further this, you can change it to ANY other class and as often as you want. The first time you pay a fee of 500 gold, but afterwards it's free to change to (and from) that class.

Just stick with pure assassin skills untill you can solve your own question.

There is the A/R Critical Barrager.
A/W - critical defenses, wild blow, critical strike, way of perfection. Constant heal and defense. Sadly, it makes you tank more than you should.
A/Mo - condition removal and long enchantments, but when you get better skills, you get Signet of Malice and long enchantments to negate the need of a /Mo.
A/N - plague touch and long hexes, same as A/Mo, not necessary near the end.
A/E - not good in general ( can be shock assassin)
A/Me - condition spreader, good, but you must be good at using both professions to make good use out of this combo.
As Yanman.be said, A/x is all you really need. With the skills in NF, you'll get good healing and defense. A/x will make you a better Assassin overall, so the use of a secondary is not necessary. Hard Rez is good (/Mo, /Rit, or /P)
I think its based on preference. If you like to attack from afar, stay as A/R, get a good bow, Barrage or Broad Arrow Head and start firing away.
Good luck.

I use Necromancer for hexes such as Barbs to amp damage occasionally, and also Plague Touch.
Warrior is good for stances that increase your attack speed like Flail or Burst of Aggression.

If you're using Black Lotus Strike or Black Spider Strike, you could go A/N. Parasitic Bond is a dirt-cheap Hex that also gives you a heal when it runs out.

Mainly because of the Critical Strike attribute from the Assassin. Critical Eye and Sharpen Daggers are from the Critical Strike Attribute, which is the reason for a Critical Barrager. Bleeding and increased damage is good, isn't it?
